Group One will once again be hosting Squadron Leadership School (SLS) and Corporate Learning Course (CLC) at the Scott Composite Squadron located on Scott AFB.

Your CAPF 17 should be submitted electronically or snail mail (e-mail preferred) to the appropriate Director with a courtesy copy to Maj Hertel following up with a check for $15 made out to "Group 1 Headquarters", No Later Than 31 October 2009.

I recommend students review these prior to attending.

Instructors:

Please be sure to contact the director for the course in which you would like to instruct. You should have already completed SLS if you wish to instruct in it, and already completed CLC to instruct in it.

Staff:

Please be sure to contact the director for the course in which you would like to serve as a staff member.

ALL:

For your convenience, rooms have been reserved. Please contact Maj Hertel as soon as possible if you plan to stay on Scott AFB. Payments for Billeting will be made to Billeting AT Billeting . Hotels in the surrounding area may be available should the Scott Inn be booked. The social will be held at the Scott Club. Prices will be determined by the number participating and will be published at a later date. Please courtesy copy me on all e-mails regarding course and dinner attendance.

Scott AFB is an active duty military installation. All attendees will ensure that their uniforms are in full compliance with published regulations. Uniform infractions will be corrected. If in a uniform that has rank displayed, you will salute higher ranking officers and return the salute of juniors if saluted.

Speed limits and use of hands free cell phone devices are strictly enforced.

These courses not only are requirements for Senior Member Professional Development level completions, but also provide useful and helpful information for your CAP career. The courses are open to all senior members who have completed level I and have entered a specialty track. Prior graduates are also welcome to attend as a refresher since these courses have been updated over the years and are completely different from the courses 5 or 10 years ago.

Uniform of the day is:

   AF blue short sleeve shirt (no tie) and blue uniform trouser/skirt, or
   Corporate white short sleeve shirt (no tie) and blue uniform trouser/skirt, or
   Corporate white short sleeve shirt (no tie) and grey trouser/skirt, or
   Business casual (polo or dress shirt, no tie, and dress trouser/skirt
   No flight suits, BDU’s or jeans will be allowed.

Please, NO Ribbons. It is an unwritten rule that Officers DO NOT wear Ribbons on the Blue Shirt.
Only on the Service Dress.
