Kentucky Ice Storm
Disaster Relief Mission
The following individuals from squadrons in your group have been awarded the Disaster Relief Ribbon with V for their participation in the Kentucky disaster (mission 09-1-4351). Please pass the attached file to your squadron commanders and ensure a copy is placed in the individual’s personnel file and a copy given to each individual for their personal records.
Members on the attached roster are hereby awarded the Disaster Relief Ribbon with "V" Device. The Disaster Relief Ribbon with a "V" device may be awarded to any CAP member who participates in a disaster relief effort for a Presidential declared disaster per CAP Regulation 39-3 (E) dated 2 July 1998, Page 8, Paragraph 21g.
The CAP members listed on the attached roster participated in the Kentucky ICE Quake of 2009, Mission 09-1-4351, which was a Presidential declared disaster, during the period from 31 January 2009 to 7 February 2009. Participation of the CAP members on the attached list has been verified by the on-scene Incident Commander. Col Robert J. Koob, CAP ID 301996.
