GROUP 1 INSPECTIONS
Self Assessment Tool (080115).doc This page isn’t just for Inspectors. It’s for everyone. If you are doing everything in the Specialty Track pamphlet and the Subordinate Unit Inspection Guide that pertains to your duty position you will receive at least a grade of “Successful” Definitions Page:

The Wing Inspection program is getting on track this year. For most units including those in Group 1, that means they will all be inspected this year, unless they were inspected last year. Then they go to a two year inspection cycle. Unfortunately half the units will be inspected again next year. The other half will be inspected the following year. This is when the Group Headquarters units will be inspected. IL-006 will be inspected this year in July, then again in 2011.
This future (tentative) schedule is when the squadrons in Group 1 will be inspected starting next year. This year they all need to be inspected as they are all due or overdue.
Group 1 needs members to volunteer to inspect and write the reports on the squadrons. The ideal number is a team of three inspectors per inspection. Members cannot be part of the team inspecting their own squadrons. Team members should be experienced C.A.P. members. The more members that are willing to inspect the less traveling they will have to do. Why the heck do we need to be inspected anyway? The inspections are not “Gotchya’s” They are to see how the unit is doing. Inspections are to see whether the three missions can be accomplished. The great thing about inspections is, you have a chance to brag on what you’re doing and how you’re doing it. Another great thing is, you will find out if you’re missing the mark and where you need to improve thus making it easier to accomplish the missions. Approach inspecting and being inspected like an opportunity to learn. Please volunteer.
